There are several tips for epoxy coating of your garage. This type of coating is used as a sealant for a concrete floor often used in your garage. The flooring is robust, durable, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The best part is, they do not require much maintenance.

Sweeping

The first tip is to confirm that you sweep the garage floor regularly. Keeping the floor clean is one of the best ways to prolong the floor's life. Also, it can help prevent any damage to the garage floor. You will not have to worry about any buildups on the floor.
Sweeping removes substances off the floor and hence, the environment also becomes a lot safer. You only need to use a soft indoor broom or a dust mop for sweeping the floor.

Washing

The second tip is to wash the floor regularly. When you put epoxy coating on your garage floor, it can seal the porous concrete. This means the floors will be very easy to clean. If you want a deep clean, you can use a mixture of hot water and ammonia also.
You will need about 5 ounces of ammonia for every gallon of bleach that you use. It is not recommended to use any acidic or soap- based cleaners. The reason being, such cleaners can damage the floor and its shine.

Removing Stains

The third tip for epoxy flooring is to make sure that you treat any stains on the floor immediately. So, if you spill anything on your epoxy floor, make sure you clean it up as soon as possible. The stains on the floor can degrade the quality of your floor if not taken care, promptly.
To keep the floor clean and look its best for a long time, you can give the floor a gentle scrubbing on things like rust.

Protection

The fourth tip for epoxy flooring is to ensure you do everything to protect the floor from any damage it may have to face. Since the floor will be inside the garage, it will need a lot of protection from environment.
Thus, it may be a good idea to place a welding mat on the floor when you are welding or placing a heavy plywood on the floor. The welding mat would ensure that the floor is not damaged.
